The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Mechanic / Motor Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will take a leading role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of trucks — particularly Isuzu trucks — to the highest operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced mechanical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on Isuzu trucks and Iveco Turbodaily models.
Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled services to minimise downtime.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Oversee and guide junior mechanics and workshop assistants, ensuring quality workmanship across the team.
Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work complies with company standards and OEM specifications.
Collaborate closely with the Workshop Foreman and Operations team to prioritise repairs and ensure vehicle readiness for dispatch.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in fleet performance, safety, and cost efficiency.
Uphold Strata’s standards of safety, reliability, and professionalism in every task.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Motor Technician (Trade Test essential).
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience working with heavy-duty vehicles, specifically Isuzu trucks.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills using modern diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver’s licence (EC licence advantageous). Crucial
Proven track record in managing or supervising workshop teams.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends when required.
